Description

DB InfraGO Passenger Stations is planning the barrier-free conversion and modernization of Fulda station. It belongs to category 6 and is located at the junction of lines 3600, 3700, 3824. As part of the measure, several platforms are to be converted as follows. The platform height is adjusted at platforms 1, 38 and 36/37. At platforms 3/4, 6/7 and 8/9, elevators are installed in Y-solution, new stairs are erected, tactile guidance strips are installed and adjustments are made to roofs and signalling technology. In addition, the weather protection systems are improved, the equipment is renewed according to DB standards and undamaged elements are reused. The station building is also affected, as the platform roof of platform 1 is connected to it.The aim of the overall project at Fulda station is to produce the operationally necessary elevation and adjustment of the platforms so that the traffic station can be operated safely.
