Description

A framework contract is being offered with one supplier for the purchase of high-dose influenza vaccine or adjuvanted influenza vaccine for special protection of the elderly (i.e. 65 years of age and older). According to the approved Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC), the vaccine must be a high-dose seasonal influenza vaccine or an adjuvant seasonal influenza vaccine with special protection for the elderly (i.e. 65 years of age and older). When the vaccines are delivered to the SSI, the virus strains used must comply with the current WHO recommendations for the Northern Hemisphere for seasonal influenza vaccines for that season. The vaccines must be supplied in pre-filled ready-to-use syringes (i.e. in a presentation ready for injection, but it is not a requirement that a needle is attached or included). The seasonal influenza vaccine offered must, at the time of submission of the offer, have a marketing authorisation valid for Denmark based on the latest WHO recommendation for the northern hemisphere for the latest season (i.e. for the 2024/2025 season). Further requirements for the vaccine are set out in the tender documents. It is estimated that the need for the purchase of vaccines is 150,000 – 800,000 doses per year as a starting point. The purpose of the framework agreement is to ensure that the SSI can make the necessary purchases of the covered vaccines for the Danish market in accordance with the expected need for such vaccines for the duration of the framework agreement of up to 4 years. The purchase under the agreement depends on the decisions taken on the public vaccination programme and on the volume of SSI’s sales to the private market. Thus, a significant variation in annual procurement can be expected. In view of this and the fact that the total need for vaccines may thus vary considerably, the SSI may, in total, purchase up to 4 million doses of vaccines (the maximum quantity) under the framework agreement during its term, see Appendix 2 to the framework agreement. This offer does not include seasonal flu for children and adults with a standard dose offered by another offer. Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
