Purchase of Bibliobus Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
The subject-matter of this call for tenders is the performance of a work – a bibliobus. The new bibliobus is conceived as a multifunctional space in which it will be possible to realize a wide range of diverse activities. In the bibliobus space, it will primarily be used for lending books. Additional use will be participation in festivals and events associated with the Municipal Library in Prague. Some selected activities can also be transferred in front of the bibliobus – the new bibliobus must also have the possibility of safely transporting outdoor equipment such as tables, chairs, seats, blankets, etc. The bibliobus is designed as a vehicle with barrier-free access, equipped with a non-interruptive autonomous supply of electricity, both without connection to the public electricity network and with the possibility of connection to the public electricity network. Typical time of operation of the center in one place is up to 8 hours. For the most part, this period requires the continuous operation of the electronic devices that are the vehicle’s planned equipment – their operation must be ensured without the need to be connected to the electricity grid. The bibliobus will be operated year-round and its interior space will be adapted to the primary purpose of the bibliobus, namely the lending of library collections. Remodelling of the interior for other uses is not foreseen, however, the design of the shelves must allow for their possible easy dismantling. Books will be loaded into the vehicle in crates or mobile containers, and the interior layout must allow for convenient handling. A more detailed specification of the subject-matter of performance is set out in Annex 2 to the tender specifications – Specification of the subject-matter of performance.
