The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg founded the SBH | Schulbau Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as SBH) on 1 January 2013 in accordance with Section 26 (1) of the State Budget Code. This state-owned company has the task of planning, building, maintaining and managing the school properties in accordance with economic principles, taking into account school concerns, and renting out the approximately 350 schools to the School and Vocational Education and Training Authority (BSB). The school buildings include all land and buildings of state and vocational schools used for school purposes. The land area of all general and vocational state schools is approximately 9.1 million m² and the main area of use is approximately 3.1 million m². In this activity, SBH was commissioned with the construction of a high school building and a single-field sports hall for the Rissen district school and the Rissen Gymnasium at Eibenkamp in Hamburg.
