Description

Through this procedure, Brussels Airport Company wishes to conclude an agreement with an Operator that will operate currency exchange units at Brussels Airport for approximately 5 years (see Request for Proposal). The object of the concession is summarized as follows: The exploitation of four (4) Units and three (3) Kiosks in the following airport zones - One (1) Unit in the Departure Hall (Unit to be built) - One (1) Unit in the Departure Hall (Unit already available, next to the Customs Office) (for VAT refund activities mainly) - One (1) Unit in the Arrival Hall (Unit to be built) - One (1) Unit in Pier B / Gallery of Light (Unit already available, next to the Customs Office) (for VAT refund activities mainly) - One (1) Kiosk in Pier A / Topaz (Kiosk to be installed) - One (1) Kiosk in Pier A / T-zone (Kiosk to be installed) - One (1) Kiosk in Pier B / Gallery of Light (Kiosk to be installed) where the Operator must provide the following service categories in the Units and the Kiosks - Currency exchange activities (minimum currency to be offered: Common currency) - Online currency exchange activities with collection at a Unit or a Kiosk - VAT refund - Cash deposit by airport partners (money deposit and delivery services into payment accounts) - Buy-back guarantee - Cash advance in Euros on credit and payment cards - International money transfers Next to the abovementioned services, the Operator may offer (not mandatory) the following service categories in the Units and Kiosks: - Offering means of payment to passengers who have lost their means of payment due to circumstances - Travelers checks: Sale of cheques, cashing of cheques and repayment of lost and stolen cheques – Membership rewards - Helpdesk services (by e-mail or phone) - International phone cards / e-sim – Multi-currency credit cards - Cash-to-cash machine (Euros to foreign currency and vice versa) - Other services related to currency exchange activities (subject to approval of BAC) The exploitation of two (2) foreign currency ATMs situated in the following airport zones and integrated into the respective Unit: - Departure Hall (ATM to be installed) - Arrival Hall (ATM to be installed) where the Operator must provide only foreign currencies, with a minimum of 2 foreign currencies (US dollar and British pounds). ATMs must be multilingual (EN, NL, FR, DE).
