Supply and maintenance of an overhead contact line assembly vehicle
Note: Not all information for this procedure were successfully computed. Please consult linked documents for more details.
Both for the regular maintenance of the tram and metro area as well as for the rectification of calamities and failures on the overhead contact line, specially equipped cars are required, the so-called overhead contact line assembly cars, also known as BMWs. These vehicles are suitable for both rail and public road transport and are equipped with a aerial work platform so that the mechanics can be brought to the location where the work is to be carried out. RET has three BMWs in use. The oldest car (number 2040) is nearing the end of its technical life and needs to be replaced. That is why RET wants to replace the overhead contact line assembly car no. 2040 with a new car that meets the current technical and environmental requirements and that is easy to use and suffers little from malfunctions. The aim is to reach an agreement with one supplier for: - supplying one new BMW and, - maintenance and service (interruption service) to the relevant BMW.
