Description

Waste management is carried out by the Public Space Management Unit (BOR) and the Implementation Department of the Department for the Implementation of the Administration of Public Space (U 'S). The municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn has around 1 000 underground containers. A framework contract has recently been concluded for a further 110 underground containers, covering different fractions.
The residual waste containers are not equipped with an access control system and are therefore freely accessible to all. The municipality wants to equip the residual underground waste containers with access control (IRDC) and filling scale measurement systems. On the underground containers for other fractions, the municipality is also considering installing filling degree measurement systems.
