D-Hamburg: amplifiers
The high power RF system of the European XFEL consists of components required to convert AC line power to pulsed RF power and to distribute it to the super conducting cavities. For the required RF input power of the XFEL klystrons 400W of pulsed RF power shall be provided by preamplifiers. The operating parameters are a frequency of 1300MHz, a pulse length of 0 to 2000us and a pulse repetition rate of maximum 50Hz.
