Description

The listed cultural house Rüdersdorf “Martin Andersen Nexö” was built between 1954 and 1956. It is a three-storey, fully basement building in the shape of an anti-kissing temple with a saddle roof and flat roofs in front of the longitudinal side. The plaster facade is divided by columns, pilasters and stucco ornaments. The building has a gross floor area of about 5.500 m². In culturally usable rooms, the house has a large hall with stage, a small hall, three meeting rooms, a library and a foyer/vestibule. The rooms for this purpose are a kitchen on the ground floor, a film screening room, a secondary stage, an orchestral podium (downloadable) and various office, cloakroom and storage rooms. A careful basic refurbishment is planned under fire protection and energy aspects, for which minor conversion measures are required. All interior surfaces are to be restored. Two lifts and a barrier-free access are added. The electrical installations will be renewed and the building will be upgraded for additional use of the conference. The drinking water installations are renewed and the ventilation system is supplemented.
