Description

The Monument of Freedom (Monument) is a monument built on Mount St. Nicholas. The monument was erected in order to perpetuate the feat of those who fell for the freedom of Bulgaria on the site defended during the Battle of Shipka, around which the decisive battles for the Russian-Turkish War and the Liberation of Bulgaria took place in the summer of 1877. The monument is part of the Shipka-Buzludzha National Park Museum. The conservation and restoration works of the Monument, detailed in the design parts and the Technical Specification, aim to restore the vision of the Monument to the original design of the creators of the Monument in all its severity. The subject of the contract includes not only activities related to the conservation and restoration of the facades of Pamentika Shipka, but also those related to the interior, its adjacent outdoor areas and the exterior of the building. The aim is to restore the authentic appearance in the interior spaces of the Monument by repairing and restoring all installations and all movable and immovable facilities on all its floors and creating a visitor experience based on the process of climbing to the viewing platform, passing through harsh-looking spaces.
