Description

The subject of the project contract is the design, supply and installation of Mobile Switching Center Server (MSC Server), Home Location Register (HLR), Media Gateways (MGW) and Intelligent Network (IN) for the contracting authority’s GSM-R network. Interoperability with the contracting authority’s GSM-R legacy network and the possible extension of that network must be ensured. It is planned that the introduction of the new system technology will lead to a reduction from the current seven existing MSCs to two MSC servers. The two MSC servers are intended to perform a redundant function within the contracting authority’s GSM-R network. The contractor will be responsible for the migration of applications and data from the legacy system to the new system. The project contract also provides, inter alia, for further support services.
