UK-London: financial and insurance services
This is a voluntary OJEU notice lodged by the Greater London Authority (GLA) as part of the Mayor's housing covenant. The GLA is seeking proposals from housing providers to deliver a range of affordable home ownership products in London. Providers are invited to bid for funding from the GLA to deliver one or more of three options. Option one is a flexible product, which will assist aspiring purchasers through rent to save, shared ownership or an equity loan. Option two is additional funding for the existing FirstBuy product. Option three is an invitation for other proposals which have a proven track record of success with customers and retail mortgage lenders.
All providers must request funding for new build homes on specific sites across London to make them available to eligible purchasers who are unable to purchase a home at an affordable rate without assistance.
The GLA has up to 100 000 000 GBP to support this initiative with the intention of assisting around 10 000 Londoners up until 31.3.2016. The GLA wants to maximise the impact of this funding through earlier completions where possible. This funding is available for schemes in Greater London only.
