Description

The freight lines along the Middle Rhine are those with the busiest railway lines in Europe. The Hagen - Siegen-Gießen - Hanau measure was identified as one of three core measures for the construction and expansion of the Middle Rhine Corridor in the so-called Middle Rhine Study of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMDV). The aim of the expansion of the Ruhr-Sieg line is to offer an attractive route for freight trains from Belgium, the Netherlands, NRW to Bavaria, the Czech Republic and Austria. These trains now run on the heavily loaded classic Rhine axis (especially in the Cologne-Koblenz-Mainz section) and could in future also run on the Ruhr-Sieg route, thus dissolving bottlenecks on the classic Rhine axis. The overall action is divided into four planning sections (PA). In the planning section PA 4, the first ground investigations for construction measures in Wetzlar, Giessen-Bergwald, Butzbach and Bad Nauheim have already been carried out. In addition, further construction measures are now planned in PA 4. These sub-measures are the subject of this call for tenders. The project is currently in pre-planning (Lph 2). The services advertised are awarded for two performance periods. The task for the contractor includes, among other things, the preparation of concepts for ground surveys, services of specialist building supervision, the preparation of geotechnical reports and BIM services.
