Description

Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V. (‘MPG’) is an independent, non-profit research organisation with a decentralised structure (approx. 80 institutes), which is mainly publicly funded. The general administration of MPG (hereinafter referred to as ‘GV’) is responsible for the general administrative interests in external relations with the grant providers and in the internal relationship with the institutions. More information can be found at http://www.mpg.de.
The MPG addresses several issues in the design and development of identity and access management, the implementation of which lacks internal resources.
It is therefore necessary to make use of external design and implementation support.
The purpose of this procurement procedure is to find the most cost-effective contractor to carry out the necessary consultancy, design and implementation work.
The purpose of the procurement procedure is to support the IT organisational unit of the GA in accordance with a service contract based on the supplementary contractual conditions for the procurement of IT services (EVB-IT service) in the implementation on the basis of the necessary qualifications.
The tasks of the contractor “IAM@MPG” include:
— Supporting the design of the content of an appropriate technical approach,
— Training an architecture for the overall vision of a single, overarching identity and access management based on SAP across the MPG (administration and science);
— Designing and implementing a cross-application role concept and migration of existing identities;
— Supporting the definition of suitable releases as implementation steps for the overall target picture,
— Implementation of the individual releases with the integration of the applications concerned in accordance with the project plan,
— Testing and quality assurance of releases,
— Roll-out of releases for productive deployment,
— Training of MPG staff,
— Project management support;
— On-going operational support to the MPG helpdesk on specific topics.
