Description

Description: Project Area I (Falken), sub-project SNT I (9 ha; approx. 750 m length of running water): Continuation of the water development with the production of a flowable lateral arm with troughs of different depths as well as a floodplain water, development of wetland meadows and meadows. The land is almost entirely owned by the Free State of Thuringia, Department of Nature Conservation, and is available for implementation of measures by the SNT. Project area II (Treffurt), subproject SNT II (2.3 ha; approx. 350 m length of running water): In the northernmost area, on the glide slope of the left side of the river, there is a fallow overgrown with trees and ruderal vegetation, which is largely owned by the city of Treffurt. The rest of the floodplain forest is to be gently rewetted and reactivated by initial measures such as soil removal in the bank areas. A smaller temporary standing water of a former mining site is available, this is to be preserved, an ecological optimization e.g. by bank flattening is checked as part of the planning. The creation of further laughter of different depths and temporary water flow is intended to further increase the structural diversity and create habitats of typical animal and plant species. Project Area III (Green Belt), sub-project SNT III (2.1 ha; approx. 350 m length of running water): South of the bridge, which is classified as a border relic due to its function as an interceptor during the time of the GDR regime, the Green Belt begins in the narrower sense. On the left side of the river, grassland areas are owned by the SNT, here a land subsidence for the development of floodplain waters of varying depth and humidity as well as the establishment of high-water meadows are to be implemented.
