Description

The DPS requires suppliers to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ), referred to as an Indicative Tender. Suppliers must satisfy A1 Housing that they are a capable, competent and stable organisation.
Suppliers can apply at any time. This DPS will run from 1.4.2015 to 31.3.2019 and applications will be considered during that time.
Works will be awarded through the 4 years as follows:
1) Major Works and one-off projects will be offered to capable suppliers to quote/tender against a Specification and/or Schedule of Works/Rates or Bill of Quantities. The criteria (price and quality) will be communicated within the quote/tender documentation. For this type of work, A1 Housing will typically use the appropriate JCT Contract.
A1 Housing will generally appoint a single supplier to this type of work or a panel of suppliers if time is of the essence.
2) Contracted-out Works/Services, such as heating installations, scaffolding or roofing, will be parcelled into 'Lots' of work and appointed to 1 or more of the approved suppliers capable of doing that work, based on Schedule of Rates costs and quality criteria, for a set term (typically 6 months). Suppliers will be able to re-bid as those terms expire.
3) Sub-contracted works, such as electrical repairs, masonry and building repairs, etc. where suppliers are providing responsive repairs services, will be awarded on an expected volume/value basis. This will represent between 6-9 months work. However, if it takes 12 months to achieve those volumes, successful suppliers can expect to work for the extended period.
A1 Housing may appoint 1, 2 or more suppliers to each 'Lot' under (2) or (3) above.
The final requirement of a DPS is that all communication is electronic. A1Housing will deploy the Xantive system from the commencement of the DPS.
