GR-Athens: flood-prevention works
The works included in this contract are flood defences and works to curb the erosion of the mountainous basins to protect the collectors and the lake environment (dry stone walls, reformations, plant protection works, wire barriers, bedrooms and other interventions) to the east and north-east of Lake Karlas, starting in the south with the settlement of Lower Kamateia and ending in the north with the agglomeration of Anavra. The main settlements included in the area of the works are those of Lower Kamasia, Kalamaki, Anavra and north-west the settlements of Plattykampou, Goutakis and Melissa, which belong to the prefectures of Magnisia and Larissa.
The above projects are divided into two sub-groups.
Group A: Lowland flood defences.
Group B: Mountainous flood defences.
In summary for Group A, the following applies.
Lowland flood protection projects concern in particular:
(1) the adjustment of the Amyros stream.
(2) arranging the stream of Anavra.
(3) the works of the stream of the agglomeration of Anavra passing through the agglomeration of Anavra are the continuation of the construction works for e.g. Amyros from the upstream.
(4) works to develop a fixed cross section of the Kalamaki stream;
(5) the works for the development of a bed section in Kerasiotis include works inside a bed and the necessary accompanying flood defences outside the bed.
(6) the construction of small overflow barriers on the 2D irrigation canal and in the sewage ditches 6T and 7T
(7) a roforgate on the 7T pit
In summary for Group B, the following applies.
The Mountain Flood Protection projects concern in particular:
Phytotechnic/anti-erosion works in mountainous areas of the prefectures of Larissa and Magnisia, which include the following:
(1) these are plant protection works and management measures designed to establish plant communities in order to protect these surfaces and regulate the diet of streams and to use their water and winter space.
(2) slow gradient works (low pedestrian height), this is the construction of small stakes on small gratings to prevent axial corrosion and to retain tear materials.
(3) upgrading works, whether from concrete to dams weighing 2 metres in height, made of concrete, or from barbed barrels with dry stone walls.
