Description

Fernwärme Duisburg GmbH (hereinafter referred to as FD) is planning further district heating expansion in Duisburg. Through the construction of an FW development line between Duisburg-Wanheim to Duisburg-Wedau and Duisburg Großenbaum, it is possible for FD to connect additional customers to district heating. The total length of the planned FW routes is approximately 7.7 k m. The construction project is divided into four construction lots. Integration into the existing district heating network takes place in the "Obere Kaiserswerther Straße (K2)" in nominal size DN 300. The route continues along Neuenhofstraße and crosses Düsseldorfer Straße in closed construction with a pipe jacking to Wedauer Straße. Along Wedauer Straße, the nominal width DN 300 is to be built up to the junction with Großenbaumer Allee. A line is planned along Großenbaumer Allee to the Gesamtschule Süd in DN 200. The other line is laid in Wedauer Straße to Elbinger Straße in DN 250 and from there in DN 200 via Masurenallee to Werkstättenstraße and connected to an existing heat pipe DN 200. From the junction Wedauer Straße / Kalkweg, another FW strand is laid in the Kalkweg to the junction Im Schlenk in DN 200. 130 °C and 16 bar apply to the pipe-static design of the FW route. KMR district heating pipes of nominal diameters DN 300/500, DN 250/450 and DN 200/355 must be laid for the supply and return. The T60/1 system (HDW system) from SZE Spezial Elektronik Hagenuk GmbH is used as a leak detection system. The FW lines are mainly to be produced in an open pipe trench with plastic sheathed pipes (KMR). The crossing of Düsseldorfer Landstraße (K1) with KMR DN 300/500 takes place from Neuenhofstraße to Wedauer Straße with two steel protection pipes DN 600 each and a total length of 45.00 m for the supply and return pipe. The plastic sheathed pipes are fed into the steel protective pipes with sliding skids. The bridges for the BAB 59, the tracks of Deutsche Bahn AG and the U-Bahn line 79 in Wedauer Straße are crossed in an open construction without protective tubes. The district heating pipes shall be laid outside the load range of the bridge foundations. The crossing of the Dickelsbach takes place as an exposed line next to the existing road bridge. The Wedauer Straße will be renewed between the roundabout Wedauer Straße / Kalkweg to Masurenallee including the existing surfaces by the city of Duisburg, so that the planned laying of the new district heating pipes must begin immediately after the contract has been awarded. Since both measures (district heating expansion and conversion of Wedauer Straße) have to be carried out in an optimised manner, various coordination dates have already taken place with all parties involved (including the city of Duisburg, the economic enterprises of Duisburg (WBD), district heating of Duisburg). It was agreed that the district heating pipes would be laid in sections in the road (north side) starting from the direction of “Kalkweg” and that the conversion of Wedauer Straße in the ancillary facilities would be followed by an offset. Interfaces and coordination with third parties must be carried out by the contractors for civil engineering and pipe construction and taken into account in the offer. The following points must be taken into account when optimising the design: • Length of the construction phases for the district heating pipeline maximum 80 m with traffic light systems • Conversion of the Wedauer Straße in the ancillary facilities (supplied by a company commissioned by the WBD) without a traffic light system with an existing lane width of at least 6 m. • Foot and bicycle traffic is routed on both sides via the existing ancillary facilities during the construction period. • During the construction period, no further construction measures for the FW development line will take place on a large scale for the conversion of Wedauer Straße. The connection at the Kalkweg roundabout follows the reconstruction of the road. Details of the above-mentioned consultations must be summarised in a transport concept, which must be finalised with the authorities as part of the preparation by the civil engineering contractor.
