Description

The laboratory uses an Illumina NovaSeq X-Plus system for next-gen sequencing of DNA. For the processing of the Illumina sequence data, five DRAGEN servers from the same supplier have been used for quite some time. These servers are developed by Illumina and equipped with Illumina software for high-througput processing of the data. Due to the increased demand for secondary data analysis of complete genome data for medical diagnostics, an expansion of the number of servers and licenses is needed. The new servers must be able to be used for the analysis of the same NovaSeq X-Plus data and thereby deliver the same output with the same specifications as the existing DRAGEN servers. Therefore, only DRAGEN servers compatible with DRAGEN software v3.2.8 and above are suitable. Each server must be able to analyze a 34x human genome within a maximum of 34 minutes (all callers).
