The contract to be awarded includes the following services: a) Supply of 107 automatic passenger counters including the associated background system. Installation and commissioning in 107 vehicles. The detailed technical requirements are defined in the terms of reference. The aim is to obtain reliable passenger numbers to determine the traffic demand on the lines concerned. As a first step, the number of passengers serves planning purposes for checking and designing the public transport offer. In the future, the data obtained will be used to allocate revenue and to provide passengers with information on the utilisation of journeys for the purpose of individual travel planning via the timetable information. The delivery is made on the basis of an ‘EVB-IT purchase contract with maintenance’ for the hardware and an ‘EVB-IT lease contract with maintenance’ for the software. (b) The delivery of all equipment should be completed by the end of the 2025/2026 Christmas holidays. (c) For the maintenance of the delivered equipment, a maintenance contract (according to the model ‘EVB-IT purchase contract with maintenance’) is concluded between the customer or the transport company and the contractor with a duration of 31.12.2031.
