Description

Courier services. Post and courier services. Parcel transport services. Multi-modal courier services. The Teaching Agency (TA), the Standards and Testing Agency (TA) and HM Revenue and Customs(HMRC), acting on behalf of the Government Procurement Service (GPS), have developed a Seasonal Courier Services specification to allow:
a) GPS to set up a Framework Agreement sufficiently enabled to allow Government Organisations with a requirement for such services to set up a ‘Call Off' at any time during the term of the Framework Agreement; and
b) the TA, and potentially STA, to establish ‘Call Off' contracts for the provision of the service to coincide with the 2013-2014 academic year.
The seasonal element of the services will be established to coincide with the Examination Series throughout the academic year with high peak periods during November, January to March and the Summer examination series (May and June). The service will relate to the collection and delivery of examination Test Materials. The service provider will be required to work in collaboration with the Client in order for the Client to self produce pre printed address labels, which includes the service provider's barcode to aid the automatic production of delivery/collection manifests and package tracking.
