Denmark-Ballerup: Towers, lattice masts, derricks and pylons
The Ministry of Defence Equipment and Purchase Agency has previously acquired a deployable radar tower for radar TPS 77.
It has now emerged from the Site Acceptance test (SAT) that there is a gap between the ladder of the top deck and the handrails of the upper repos. The SAT report assessed that the gap is associated with safety hazards and therefore an increased railing is needed. In addition, following the practical test, it has been found that the existing discs are not similar to TPS 77, which is why the radar is uneven. Therefore, there is a need for the installation of new discs necessary for the use of the tower.
Taken as a whole, the Ministry of Defence’s Material and Purchasing Agency must therefore acquire an increase in the existing railcar track and the assembly of new discs so that the radar can be installed as required. The purchase is made from the existing supplier.
