Description

The municipality of Saalfeld/Saale, as the school manager of the ‘Geschwister Scholl’ State School, intends to award planning services for the renovation of the school building. Currently, some 270 students learn at this school, which focuses on the media school of Thuringia and as a regular school with a sports profile. The building will primarily be rehabilitated internally and adapted to the requirements of modern school education. The integration of disabled pupils requires the installation of a lift. In addition, the dining room for pupils will be moved from the cellar to the ground floor and redesigned. At the same time, the indoor equipment will be modernised and supplemented. The planned refurbishment of the existing building is carried out as part of a federal support measure to improve school infrastructure for financially weak municipalities.
