Description

The purpose of this tender is to select a Service Provider in the capacity of an Agent for the Central Bank of Malta for the provision of Euro coin services. Euro coins circulating in Malta are made up of those bearing the national side as well as those bearing the national sides of the other Euro-system Member States.
The Service Provider shall be directly responsible to the Central Bank of Malta to receive deposits and to supply coins from/to the commercial banks licensed in Malta and any other entities as required or directed by the Central Bank of Malta, to authenticate, sort, count and pack coins, and to store coins in a secure location. The Service Provider shall also be required to provide ongoing accounting information to the Central Bank of Malta and to take part in specific surveys. All coins shall remain the property of the Central Bank of Malta at all times.
