Description

The neurosurgical department of the Donaustadt Clinic of the Vienna Health Association needs an intraoperative ultrasound system for intraoperative imaging, which is to be used in combination with an existing navigation system. Currently, there is no possibility of intraoperative imaging during brain surgery, although neuronavigation is designed for this. The department performs up to 300 procedures per year, in which an ultrasound system can be used sensibly and for patient safety. In addition to borehole trepanations and craniotomies in the skull, this also includes localization aids and imaging of spinal interventions, as well as the representation of peripheral nerves (median nerve/ulnaris nerve). The combination of the two systems is intended to significantly increase intraoperative accuracy and to detect intraoperative changes that occur continuously, especially during tumor surgery. Before a procurement procedure is carried out, the potential bidders should be identified transparently as part of the market survey. See in detail the explanations in the additional information.
