Description

Miscellaneous health services. Services provided by medical personnel. Services provided by medical laboratories. Hospital support services. Pathology services. Hospital and related services. Other services. Funeral and related services. Lincolnshire County Council in liaison with HM Senior Coroners intend to arrange contracts for Mortuary and Post Mortem services.
In summary the following services/facilities will be required:
— for the receipt and storage of bodies under the jurisdiction of HM Senior Coroner;
— facilities to perform a post mortem;
— to allow Pathologists to undertake post mortem/autopsies;
— to allow Forensic Pathologists to undertake post mortem/autopsies in cases where criminal charges may arise;
— for the identification and viewing of bodies by relatives and friends, taking into account their emotional and cultural needs;
— for 24/7 access and cover required;
— maintenance of adequate contact between HM Senior Coroners office and staff;
— to provide suitably qualified Pathologist and/or support staff to conduct post mortems. All Pathologists to be approved by HM Senior Coroner;
— post mortem reports to HM Senior Coroner, and
— monthly statistics and performance indicators to the Council.
