Note: Not all information for this procedure were successfully computed. Please consult linked documents for more details.
Neu-Augustusburg Castle is a 3-storey, basement masonry building made of natural stone with an undeveloped attic. The ceilings above the basement and ground floor are sandstone vaulted ceilings, the ceilings above the 1st and 2nd floors. Upstairs are wooden beamed ceilings. The load-bearing of the ceilings is carried out via the outer walls and the central wall (in the basement via massive vaulted pillars). The building has so far been accessed via the main staircase at the intersection between the south wing and the west wing, as well as a historic spiral staircase. Due to the structural condition, the south wing and south l. The west wing of the castle is currently not usable and had to be upgraded or secured. In this context, static refurbishment and safeguarding measures have already been carried out on the building structure. In addition, the entire roof truss including roof covering has already been renewed. Irrespective of the refurbishment measures carried out so far, extensive repair work is absolutely necessary due to the damage to ceilings, vaults, walls, foundations and roofs. The refurbishment of the castle involves comprehensive renovation measures of the facade and the interiors, i.e. also important static-constructive refurbishment measures. Another primary goal of the renovation is to ensure barrier-free use.
