De gemeente Vught is voornemens het pand aan de Irenelaan 1 (ca. 6 000 m²) in de huidige staat te verkopen met als doel dat op deze locatie woningbouw wordt gerealiseerd. De gemeente heeft een stedenbouwkundige schets opgesteld. De stedenbouwkundige schets kenmerkt zich door een gesloten gevelwand aan de Prins Bernhardlaan en aan de Irenelaan en het toepassen van hoogwaardige materialen en afwerking.
De verkoop geschiedt door middel van een niet-openbare verkoopprocedure, waardoor er voorafgaand aan de gunningsfase een selectiefase plaatsvindt. Na de selectie van vijf partijen wordt in de gunningsfase aan de overgebleven partijen een bieding op het betreffende perceel gevraagd inclusief een toelichting. De toelichting kan bestaan uit een plan van aanpak voor de herontwikkeling, maar de vorm wordt nader uitgewerkt in de gunningsfase. Het perceel wordt verkocht aan de partij met de beste combinatie van herontwikkelingsplan en prijs. Het minimale bod bedraagt 2 100 000 EUR kosten koper.
