Description

Structural planning services under Sections 48 et seq. HOAI for the construction of a new Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences for the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF), Frankfurt am Main.
The new construction will be built on the new campus Westend of Goethe University for humanities, culture and social sciences as a northern entrance to the campus site. The site is currently being developed and is available for immediate implementation. Most of the building will have six floors, but in some cases up to 13 floors.
The architect is currently selected by means of a Europe-wide implementation competition.
The building with a planned usable area (NF 1-6) of approximately 7 200 m² combines the uses of the Institute, Library, Laboratories (office type) and conference. In addition, a two-stage KITA with a planned usable area of approximately 225 m² (NF 1-6) must be planned.
The design of the façade will fit in the campus as the whole building.
In the immediate vicinity to the west of the 13-floor building, there is an underground district heating transfer station of the local energy supplier, which must be protected.
Underneath the projection is required to be fully subclad with a level. For the non-built areas of the building area, participants in the competition are free to subccelerate.
The construction works are subject to high energy requirements in order to minimise operating costs.
For the construction work, an office is being sought to take over the structural design services in accordance with Sections 48 et seq. of the HOAI, service phases 2-6. The award of the contract shall start immediately after the award of the contract.
