Description

With over 42,000 students, the University of Hamburg (UHH) is the largest university in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the largest research and training institution in northern Germany and one of the largest universities in Germany. Located in the heart of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the university offers a wide range of courses and excellent research. As the central awarding authority for HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU), Universität Hamburg is conducting an open procedure for a delivery service. At HafenCity University Hamburg, an Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (UPS) is to be used to collect hydrographic data, including in very shallow waters. The use of a mobile UPS makes it possible to flexibly collect bathymetric data and other information about the water (e.g. flow velocities), especially in domestic study areas such as lakes or rivers. To accommodate the different data and parameters, the UPS is to be equipped with various, flexibly interchangeable instruments. On the one hand, the UPS with hydrographic measuring equipment is to be used in teaching. Here, it makes it possible for students to be trained in dealing with an unmanned or autonomous watercraft and thus gain a contemporary and forward-looking competence in hydrography. The aim is to learn (partially) autonomous data acquisition with fan echolites as well as with side-view sonar or ADCPs. On the other hand, the flexibly configurable UPS is used in research for several different projects. In addition to the (cooperative) autonomous detection of bathymetry in shallow waters, the UPS and the installed hydrographic instruments will be used to detect the water-land transition, underwater structures and shore facilities. The aim of the procedure is the purchase and delivery of a brand new fully functional Uncrewed Surface Vessel (UPS) with hydrographic measuring equipment (MBES, ADCP/DVL, SSS, GNSS-INS, etc.). The system should preferably be delivered by 01.06.2025. Installation, commissioning and training must take place no later than one month after delivery. The exact dates are determined in consultation with the employees of the HCU. The contract term of the delivery order ends after final acceptance of the delivery service and training of the employees.
