Description

The work to be carried out under this project covers the Rio do Ouro, Água Clara and Água Amoreira systems, and includes the following infrastructures: • Rehabilitation and expansion of the water treatment plant (WTP) of "Rio do Ouro" system and assessment of the loss of transport capacity of the pipeline • Rehabilitation of water intakes involving civil works • Replacement and construction of new water mains and distributors • Construction of new domestic connections and rehabilitation of existing connections • Connections to existing public taps and fountains with the installation of water meters • Rehabilitation and construction of multiple water storage reservoirs • Replacement and installation of flow meters, multiple type of valves, etc. in existing distribution networks and reservoirs • Development of a hydrological study and installation of a gauging station on the River Ouro. The Consultant will develop the basic studies and the detailed design required to carry out the works, perform the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and supervise the works that will be decided to be carried out (by EMAE and BEI), following the detailed design.
