Description

The University Hospital Münster (UKM) needs a suitable solution for speech recognition and language-assisted documentation to support the medical staff in creating medical documentation. In particular, the creation of medical letters, findings reports and other medical documents as well as the associated workflows are to be supported and simplified by a corresponding solution. To this end, an overview of the currently available technical solutions and approaches to speech-based medical documentation is to be obtained.The subject matter is solutions for speech recognition and speech-based documentation, which are suitable for use in the medical or clinical environment. In particular, it is of interest which possibilities exist for the collection and processing of spoken content as well as for the creation and processing of medical texts. The solutions should be able to take into account medical terminology and the terminology of different medical disciplines. In addition to classic speech recognition solutions, further technological approaches are also of interest, in which spoken content, for example, is structured, summarized or used to support the creation of medical documents. In addition, the possibilities for integrating the respective solutions into existing clinical IT systems and workflows are important. This includes in particular existing interfaces, technical requirements as well as possible operating and provisioning models. Also of interest are the respective concepts regarding data protection and information security as well as information on licensing, implementation, operation, maintenance and support.
