District greening Utrecht
The municipality of Utrecht intends to green neighbourhoods in the coming years by setting out small-scale green projects. The municipality of Utrecht wants to do this with parties that can, implement, design and participate, in which integration of SR (Social Return) and thus cooperation with the city is an important part of the work. The contract offers two types of sub-contracts: 1. Execution order: the municipality prepares the work and offers you the work for offrering and execution. This concerns the majority of the expected sub-assignments. 2. Project assignment: The municipality offers you the project as an assignment in which you prepare, tune and then carry out the work, together with services to be organised by you. These small-scale green projects are invested in their entirety with the contractor. This involves small and technically often simple projects, such as planting a number of trees and making the corresponding tree mirrors or small planting areas, in which the contractor, together with the neighborhood, selects the location and planting. The municipality of Utrecht does not have sufficient insight into the possibilities and problems that green contractors see with the Assignment. In order to design the assignment as well and effectively as possible, this market consultation takes place so that the municipality of Utrecht can include the vision of green contractors in the assignment. The expected budget is between 10 and 13 million, based on 4 years. The maximum value per sub-assignment is about €500,000. We plan to divide the tender into lots, so that the assignment is also interesting for SME green contractors. The intention is to create a geographical plot layout so that the green contractors each carry out greening projects in their own neighborhoods and so they are able to get to know the neighborhood and realize the ambitions in the field of SR.
