The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock is aiming to renovate a school building at Maxim-Gorki-Straße 67 in Rostock Evershagen. The building was built in the 1970s in the 5-Mp element construction. Parts of the building are currently used as a care facility by the institution ‘ILL e.V.’. The basic type is the 4-storey school building with a total of 26 classrooms for 2 trains of grades 1-10 (individual school). The building consists of a teaching wing with 3 staircases (segment A) and 2 specialist room wings connected via four-storey connectors (segments B and D). In the future, the building will house a day care centre, a youth club and parts of a vocational school. In order to secure this use of the building, extensive measures must be carried out on the outer shell and inside the building. These measures include: • the functional redesign • the upgrading of the outer shell with roof and facade • the complete interior design • the technical equipment, electrical installation, heating, ventilation and sanitary • the technical room equipment of the vocational school as well as • the open-air system design As part of the general renovation and new use, rooms are partially functionally reassigned.
