The municipality of Heiden intends to award planning services for the development of a third-place civic house. The "Third Place Bürgerhaus" will be built at the town hall and will replace today's meeting room with a multifunctional hall. For this purpose, reconstruction and expansion measures at the town hall are necessary. The redesign will include the following measures: dismantling of existing meeting room; Energetic facade renovation of the main building; Renewal of heat supply; Optimization of the energy supply (roof greening with PV system for own use); Restructuring of the ground floor and basement of the main building (including barrier-free usability of the ground floor); Extension building with citizen hall (multifunctional usable and divisible - hall for the citizenry - no meeting place), meeting room (usable also as wedding room, fraction room) as well as a kitchenette on the ground floor and storage areas in the basement.
