Description

Tenderers are invited to tender for: Lot 1- A mobile (cart-driven) mass spectrometer capable of ultra-fast response times for capturing short-lived gas phase concentration dynamics. A mass spectrometer is an analytical instrument used to identify and quantify molecules based on their mass-to-charge ratio. It works by ionising a sample, accelerating the ions through an electric or magnetic field, and measuring how they separate based on their mass and charge. The resulting spectrum provides information about the composition and structure of the sample. Lot 2- An FTIR spectrometer with potential ATR capabilities capable of ultra-fast response times for capturing short-lived surface species dynamics. An FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectrometer is an analytical instrument that measures how a sample absorbs infrared light across a wide spectral range. By applying a Fourier transform to the recorded interferogram, an infrared spectrum is produced that reveals the sample’s molecular vibrations, enabling identification and characterisation of chemical bonds, functional groups, and material composition.
