Description

The aim of this project is the analysis and presentation to determine the status quo of the public charging infrastructure and the derivation of measures to improve the cybersecurity of the electric vehicle charging ecosystem in Germany. At the same time as awarding the contract under this call for tenders, the part of measure 38 of the Recharging Infrastructure II Master Plan relating to the assessment of the need for additional measures to protect the recharging infrastructure from cyber-attacks will be completed. In order to adequately describe the status quo, documents are prepared on relevant key topics relating to the current risk situation, the regulatory landscape and the current audit and testing activities of the public charging infrastructure. The documents not only point to existing regulations, requirements and activities, but also highlight existing shortcomings, gaps and hazards. The final project result is a cornerstone paper, which is intended to serve as a homework booklet to improve the cybersecurity situation of public charging infrastructure in Germany from the point of view of the BSI. The Key Issues Paper contains both a summary of the documents from WP 2-4 and proposals for measures from EAP 5.1 and 5.2. Details can be found in the tender specifications (see annex).
