Description

Dublin City Council gives notice to invoke Article 32(2)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU which states that the negotiated procedure without prior publication may be used where the works, supplies or services can only be supplied by a particular economic operator for (iii) the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights. Dublin City Council intends to award a contract to Oxford University Press for a period of four years at an estimated value of £93,708, ex VAT. Subscription to Oxford University Press Online Reference and Research Resources: Oxford University Press (OUP) is an interactive resource which offers an immersive learning experience to learners. The Dublin City Libraries subscription to OUP online resources includes the following categories: - Oxford Reference - Oxford Research Encyclopedias - Oxford English Dictionary - Oxford Dictionaries Premium - Oxford Bibliographies - Benezit Dictionary of Artists - Grove Art Online - Grove Music Online - Oxford World Classics - Very Short Introductions Oxford Reference brings together approximately two million digitised entries from OUP’s dictionaries, companions, thesauri and encyclopaedias, including The Concise Oxford Companion to Irish Literature, Oxford Thesaurus, Oxford Essential Quotations, The Oxford Dictionary of Word Origins, The Oxford Dictionary of Modern Slang, The Oxford Dictionary of Idioms, and The Oxford Rhyming Dictionary. Oxford Research Encyclopedias offer long-form overview articles written and edited by scholars, and which are designed to give the reader the summary of a subject in 30 minutes or less of reading. Oxford English Dictionary is widely regarded as the authority on the English language and the most comprehensive record of the language in the world. Oxford Dictionaries Premium allow access to online dictionaries, thesauri, translations, as well as language & culture reference content in nine languages as follows: English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. This resource also offers language learning support and additional English grammar resources including: New Hart’s Rules, Pocket Fowler’s Modern English Usage, and Garner’s Dictionary of Legal Use. Every very article on Oxford Bibliographies is written and reviewed by experts, and with original commentary and annotations. In the British and Irish Literature module, there are over 100 bibliographies, including topics such as Arthurian Literature, John Keats, and Christopher Marlowe. Oxford Art Online gives access to an authoritative array of online art resources. Through a single gateway, library members can access and cross-search several acclaimed and regularly updated art reference works including The Grove Dictionary of Art and The Benezit Dictionary of Artists. Oxford Music Online is the access point for Grove Music Online, plus The Oxford Dictionary of Music and The Oxford Companion to Music. Oxford World’s Classics online provides access to over 300 novels and other writings from the 18th and 19th century, from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, to expert translations such as Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment. Very Short Introductions: This collection of 600 books from Oxford University Press covers a range of subjects in the Arts, Law, Medicine, Sciences and Social Sciences.
