Emergency repairs shall be carried out by the Contractor with his personnel, machinery, equipment and vehicles. Emergency repairs are considered to be assigned from the moment of receiving an emergency signal on the 24-hour telephone line, from the dispatcher on duty of the Assignor to the Emergency Group of the Contractor. In this regard, the Contractor shall designate an Emergency Group to provide Emergency Responses at the site of the accidents. The Contractor shall ensure that the Emergency Group is available to the operational staff of the Contracting Authority 24/7 (Emergency Preparedness). The Contractor shall provide and maintain a 24-hour telephone line for contact with the Assignor, ensuring timely receipt of information/alerts from the Assignor in connection with accidents. In the event of an accident, the Contractor shall ensure a response of the emergency group at the site of the accident within 2 hours for the linear part and 45 minutes for GIS Komotini after alerting of an emergency situation by the operational staff of the Contracting Authority. When performing repairs by the Contractor, spare parts and consumables necessary for a specific Emergency Repair will be provided or purchased by the Assignor or will be delivered by the Contractor if the latter has the opportunity to provide them. The period for implementation of the activities is 36 /thirty-six/ months from the entry into force of the Treaty. Extension: The period for implementation of the activities may be extended, as the periods of extension may not exceed a total of 24 /twenty-four/ months or the total period for implementation of the activities may not exceed 60 /sixty/ months.
