Description

The aim of the project is to provide a meaningful, independent assessment of whether the application of partnership project management to complex federal railway infrastructure projects is more economical than conventional project management. In Germany, partnership-based project management represents a new form of structural project management for federal rail infrastructure projects, so that the theoretical potentials (including a higher speed in project implementation as well as a higher quality of contract execution of the construction measures, better utilisation of limited planning and construction capacities and lower costs) cannot be confirmed or refuted. Therefore, key figures are to be developed in the project in order to compare the two approaches to project implementation.
