Description

Helse Vest RHF is a regional health company and has its main office in Stavanger. Helse Vest RHF owns Helse Stavanger HF, Helse Fonna HF, Helse Bergen HF, Helse Førde HF and Sjukehusapoteka Vest HF. Helse Vest RHF also owns Helse Vest IKT AS. In accordance with the Specialist Health Services Act §2-1a, Helse Vest shall ensure that patients resilende in the Western Health Region are offered specialist health services. These services are provided partly through separate health companies and partly through contracts with private tenderers for specialist health services. Helse Vest would like to enter into a contract for the delivery of specialised rehabilitation services within sub-performance G limited to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) from a private tenderer, in order to improve the population ́s access to these highly specialised services. The enquiry is primarily for patients resilring in the western health region. The target group is patients with a need for specialised, intensive and multi-disciplinary rehabilitation of particularly complex nature, at risk of significant changes in function due to neurological and neuromuscular diseases, limited to: Patients with MS who have large compound function problems that have been examined in hospitals. Tenders are not requested for patients who are newly diagnosed or have light functional outfalls. Tenders shall be submitted locally (e.g. LMS) at first. The service shall be provided in the south-east health region. These are rehabilitation services for MS patients with major compound function problems that are so specialised, that there are no institutions with this service in the Western Health Region. Helse Vest has considered that the service will be provided in the south-east health region because this region has a large patient basis that will ensure reliable and particularly specialised treatment for MS patients, and at the same time give patients the simplest possible travel route from the western health region. These considerations have been decisive that Helse Vest has made a geographical limit to the south-east health region. The estimated volume is 1800 days per annum.
