Greece-Athens: Digital mapping services

The project, which is part (sub-project) of the overall design of the horizontal act entitled ‘Archaeological Land Register’, aims to transform the printed archive material of the project stakeholders into digital so that it can be incorporated into the project’s computational infrastructure and the production of definitive geospatial data for all cases of cultural objects of interest in the horizontal operation (protection areas, real estate monuments, real estate).
The works of this project concern cultural objects of interest throughout Greece, with the exception of the Region of Attica and the Regional Unit of Viotia under the Kallikratis administrative division programme. These tasks are divided into the following main categories:
— Project implementation study: The Contractor will draw up and submit the project implementation study, which will be the detailed guide for the implementation and development of the project to monitor the progress of the works throughout the duration of the project.
Scanning, geo-referencing and vectorisation of the archives of the bodies involved, which will be collected by the Contracting Authority and made available at the headquarters of the central directorates of the Ministry of Culture (TAP, DAFK, DAPR, DEAM, DPPI, DNESIS).
— Spatial localisation work: It concerns all objects of cultural interest for which there is an inventory sheet, i.e. the spatial location of real estate, protection areas and property monuments.
— Topographical works of the Field and Office for unidentified census: It includes field and office work, as well as the required drawing of diagrams and drawing conclusions in relation to existing cadastral diagrams and the documents to be produced by the National Land Register (where these exist).
— Work to introduce digital archives and geospatial data into the Integrated Information System of the Archaeological Land Registry.
— Quality checks.
