Description

The Brandenburg State Office for the Environment (LfU) and the Lenzen-Elbtalaue Office are currently implementing a joint construction project. The State Office for the Environment (LfU) is responsible for the new construction of the flood protection system on a length of approximately 540 m. The technical solution of the LfU envisages the construction of a flood protection wall made of sheet piles, which are clad in the head area with a reinforced concrete beam, the upper edge of which is 1.00 m above the rated flood (BHW) and thus forms the freeboard. At the same time, the Lenzen-Elbtalaue Office has the same contractor repair the damage caused by the flooding of the Elbe in 2013 on the roadway and the ancillary facilities of the "Am Elbdeich" road, which includes the relocation and renewal of supply and disposal lines.
