Description

The Bornbrook secondary school is located in the Bergedorf district of Hamburg. The main building to be renovated has an area of approximately 7 545 m² and includes classrooms, mensa and administration.
Access to the site is provided from the ‘Schulenburgring’ road. Access to the land on site takes place via a restricted access route, which must be kept fully available at all times, since it also serves as an emergency route for fire brigades and ambulances.
The three-storey building, arranged in accordance with the principle of chipping, is in every school day’s operation throughout the renovation measure. Only the areas to be rehabilitated will be cleared. The training is temporarily transferred to temporary training containers installed in the north-eastern part of the school court. Due to the need to maintain part of the school operation in the building, the entire building is renovated in construction stages.
