Description

The voluntary health insurance contract has advantages for:
the company’s employees, through the packages of services, mainly complementary to the package in the State insurance system and the services performed by occupational health physicians of CNTEE “Transelectrica” S.A., to a higher quality standard of public health services in the healthcare facility, with facilities and performing equipment, with specialised medical staff and with territorial coverage for all the company’s branches, and
— employer, by reducing exposure to the occurrence of disease risk, helping to reduce staff costs.
In accordance with Article 351 (1) of Law No 95 of 14.4.2006, republished, on health reform, CNTEE ‘Transelectrica’ S.A. may conclude voluntary health insurance contracts for employees, either individually or in a group, granted as additional benefits to their salary entitlements in order to attract and stabilise the staff employed.
In the context of voluntary health insurance, the relationships between the insured and the insurer, as well as their rights and obligations, shall be determined by the parties’ votes in the form of packages of services and shall be mentioned in the voluntary health insurance contract.
The collective labour agreement in force, Chapter VII ‘Social protection of employees and other rights’, provides in Article 7.10 (4): ‘The company shall bear the costs of voluntary health insurance for employees, in the tax deductible amount provided for by law for the employer’ and Article 7.10 (5): ‘The trade union organisation shall designate a representative, an employee of the company, who will participate in the drafting of the tender specifications drawn up for the purchase of the voluntary health insurance service. It shall also be part of the evaluation committee for the award of the contract, in accordance with the law’.
The contracting entity shall reply in a clear and complete manner to all requests for clarification/additional information on the 11th calendar day before the deadline for submission of tenders.
The contracting entity shall reply only to requests for clarification sent by economic operators up to the deadline set, in accordance with Article 29 (3) of Government Decision No 394/2016.
