Description

The subject-matter of the contract is the collection, transport and disposal of waste arising from the activities of the Edmund Biernacki Specialist Hospital in Mielec, including: GROUP 1 - Hazardous medical waste 1. 18.01.02 - Body parts and organs and containers for blood and preservatives used for its storage - kg 589 2. 18.01.03 - Other wastes which contain live pathogenic micro-organisms or their toxins and other forms capable of transferring genetic material known or reasonably believed to cause disease in humans or animals (e.g. infected napkins, sanitary towels, sleepers) - kg 190 595 3. 18.01.82 - Residues from feeding patients of infectious wards - kg 910 GROUP 2 - non-hazardous medical waste 1. 18 01 04 - Other wastes than those mentioned in 18.01.03 kg 38 278 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS GROUP 1 AND GROUP 2 SERVICE: a) PRINCIPLE OF PROximity: In accordance with Article 20(3) and Article 20(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, 6 of the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste, it is prohibited to dispose of infectious medical waste outside the voivodeship in which it was generated. Disposal of infectious medical waste in a region other than the one in which it was generated is permitted in the nearest installation, in the absence of installations for the disposal of this waste in the region concerned or where existing installations do not have spare capacity. In accordance with Article 95 para. 2 of the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste – infectious medical waste is disposed of by thermal conversion in hazardous waste incineration plants. Their disposal in waste co-incineration plants shall be prohibited. (c) CONFIRMATION OF THE TRANSFER AND RECEIPT OF WASTE: Each time a waste transfer card has been prepared in the BDO system (Data Bases on Products and Packaging and on Waste Management). The provision of the service is to take place in accordance with the applicable law in the Republic of Poland, in particular: (a)Laws of 14 December 2012 on waste (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1587), (b)Regulation of the Minister for Climate of 2 January 2020 on the waste catalogue (Journal of Laws 2020, item 10), (c)Law of 27 April 2001 on environmental protection (Journal of Laws No. Journal of Laws 2024, item 54), (d)Act of 19 August 2011 on the carriage of dangerous goods (i.e. Journal of Laws 2024, item 1539), (e)Law of 6 September 2001 on road transport (i.e. U. 2024, item 2201) f)Regulation of the Minister of Health of 24 July 2015 on types of medical waste and veterinary waste the recovery of which is permissible (Journal of Laws No. Journal of Laws 2015, item 1116), (g)The Contractor must be entered in the BDO (Product and Packaging and Waste Management Database).
