Installation and maintenance of multifunctional devices for 4 years
The project ‘Managed Print Service, Setup and Maintenance of Printers and Multifunctional Devices’ aims to reorganise the document processing infrastructure holistically and optimise it economically. TU Ilmenau plans to have the entire operation of the document processing equipment provided by an external service provider as part of a rental in conjunction with a full-service agreement. The execution of the repairs, maintenance operations and support services are specified as a Service Level Agreement (SLA). The requirements for the devices are to be taken from the list of services and the plant catalogue. The equipment is procured through a rental agreement that includes the following services: 1. Procurement of hardware including service and maintenance of equipment 2. Procurement of software solutions (e.g. device management software) 3. Procurement of consumables 4. Procurement of a new intercard system (software Q-Pilot, terminals to the MFG) The objective is the implementation of an economical, uniform and high-quality managed print service taking into account current technologies. The AG expects an overall concept, which has to be administered with minimal effort. The devices and their configuration shall be standardised. Data protection and IT security of devices and software components must comply with the state of the art. The AN is responsible for bringing the entire system into a state of operation.
