Description

The municipality of Szczucin is implementing the project entitled: Dismantling and safe storage of asbestos-containing products from Małopolskie Province. This project received funding from the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (SPPW). 60 municipalities in Małopolskie Province are currently partners next to the municipality of Szczucin. The project is being implemented in the period 2012-2016 – provided that the subject of the present procedure will be part of the project to be implemented in 2015 as a complementary contract to the basic contract entitled: ‘Dismantling and safe storage of asbestos-containing products in 2015’ published on the TED website under number 2015/S 081-143877 on 25.4.2015 (mark awarded by the contracting authority: BGP.04.271.1.1.2015). It aims to improve Małopolska’s natural environment and reduce socio-economic disparities between regions by eliminating roof coverings made of asbestos-containing materials and other asbestos-containing waste.
The project envisages three main activities, i.e.:
— dismantling of roof coverings made of asbestos-containing components,
— transport of dismantled coverings to a landfill for hazardous waste authorised to accept waste containing asbestos,
— disposal of waste in properly prepared landfills for hazardous waste authorised to accept waste containing asbestos.
And also:
— removal of asbestos waste collected on premises before the entry into force of the Regulation of the Minister for the Economy, Labour and Social Policy of 2.4.2004 on methods and conditions for the safe use and disposal of asbestos-containing products (Journal of Laws No 71, item 649, as amended),
— purchase and transfer of new roof coverings for selected applicants (this action is not part of the present procedure).
The project covered both individual sites and sites owned by municipalities – project partners.
Waste code: 17 06 05 – Structural materials containing asbestos.
