Description

To provide, install, operate, dismantle and remove a suitable number of large, outdoor video screens for public viewing complete with power generators and satellite reception, on a ‘guaranteed availability’, call-off basis for an outdoor, national event in central Edinburgh, Scotland. The required availability is needed across the full contract term of 3 years.
This is a large, city-wide event involving members of the Royal Family, invited guests and members of the public.
The contract requires the workforce and equipment to be mobilised at short notice and to be available to dismantle the equipment at the end of the event. It is expected that the event will last for 5 days. It is anticipated there will be a requirement for three screens and the location of screen will be detailed in the tender documents at the full tender stage.
There will be no specific provision made for Contractors’ storage or accommodation and so Bidders should make these arrangements for themselves. All costs associated with the deployment of the staff will be the responsibility of the participating Contractor.
The successful Contractor will be required to assign a contact person who has authority to make decisions on behalf of their organisation and to attend occasional planning and progress meetings with the Contracting Authority in Edinburgh throughout the contract term.
