Description

Since 2004, artillery fire observation teams and section heads of tactical subgroups have been trained in schools and trained in artillery regiments using artillery fire observation simulators. These simulators provide training in the use of designation procedures by means of observation as well as training in the use of an operator tactical terminal in conjunction with an operational information and communications system. The future SOFIA system, which is the subject of this contract, will enable training in joint support. SOFIA will take into account sea-ground, air-ground and ground-ground fire support.
